Hullo.
We're sure you'd like to know how we're feeling now. So, we just came back from Ennepetal and we're tired, exhausted, all our bones acheand…
Yesterday we got up at 5 am, couldn't sleep anyway, caught the trainat 6.30 am to have an about 10-hour journey to Ennepetal. We had to change the train in the rain several times getting more and morenervous. We reached the place 4.30 pm and immediately went to the stadium, getting totally soaked but still proudly holding up ourBoyzone-umbrella (made by Lizzie). It was about six hours left till Mike was expected. We spent this time having lots of fun, for example…
We were singing in the rain in front of the stage, still empty but soon it would be living up. Suddenly, a woman came over to us, askingus to join a game on stage and we couldn't help ourselves to do so.
We finally wanted to be on the same stage as Mikey would be. So we even were allowed (for the very first time!) to go back stage. Thelady said maybe we would even get the chance to meet Mike depending on when he would arrive at the stadium. We told them about the longjourney we had and they were surprised that we did it all only for Mike. By the way, they kept calling him Mickey instead of Mikey. Wealways corrected them by shouting the right name out loud as the hosts came down and another man told them to call him Mikey please,or the girls there would kill him right now. We went on stage to play the game and the host said he'll call him Mikey if we win. Of coursewe won just for the sake of Mike. We didn't really care about the umbrellas, cups and pens we got.
The securities were all nice, respecting us for being Boyzone fans (it was the first time again that we were respected for being thatmad). We'd just like to mention that the one nice security lady had met Ronan recently and she (as a neutral person) said he was niceand "like a little boy" and not arrogant at all. By the way we were the only Boyzone-fans there. We knew that most ofthem were at the airport in Düsseldorf.
We passed the following time by standing outside the stadium entrance, waiting.
Later about 10 p.m., we walked back to the backstage area and the nice lady called us over to tell us…
…THE BAD NEWS!!!!!
We'd like to tell you something better after not having heardanything of him for such a long time but HE DIDN'T COME. Apparently he missed his flight but we have no idea what actuallyhappened. Does anyone know more about it?
Now we're sure you can imagine how great the disaster was. This was really "The Bitter End" of our dreams about seeing and meeting Mike. But the securities were really nice and gave us tea (as we were still soaking wet and freezing cold) and the necessary uplifting words. Itwas so great that they treated us with respect although we must have looked extremely ridiculous after having travelled for such a longtime for NOTHING. Well, not quite nothing because the nice security woman gave us CDs (so – if anyone wants a copy of the German Mikealbum just tell us privately) pictures and posters of Mikey.
After having recovered from our shock halfway, a journalist noticed us and actually wanted to write a story about 3 mad Boyzoners whotravelled the whole country for Mikey Graham who never showed up. He invited us to a pub to do a little interview with us. His name wasMartin, he was about the same age as Mike and even had his nose. We sat in there till about 1.30 am till Martin left who had promised tosend us a copy of the article he was going to write about us.
But the most bitter end was still to come: We afford a hotel room andspent the rest of the night in a bank freezing, lying on the blank floor.
We would have coped with that, if Mike had been there. That way, itwas disappointing but still we don't regret anything because you have to see the positive sides about things and now everybody there knowsMike because we made so much fuss about him.
We're so sorry that's all we can say about that.
Ste, Vivvie and Lizzie
